The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (Members) Regulations, 1971 were notified by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh on 8th April, 1971 by virtue of the power vesting in him under Article 318 of the Constitution of India. These Regulations, prescribed that the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission would consist of a Chairman and two Members to be appointed by the Governor. Consequently the first composition of the Commission was as under.
 
HPPSC Notification 2011 – Range Forest Officer vacancies:
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission – HPPSC has asking online applications from eligible and desirous Indian Citizens for the recruitment of Range Forest Officer Class-II vacancies on contract basis. Range Forest Officer Class-II: 39 vacancies
Pay scale: Rs.10300-34800 (Pay band) + 3800 (Grade Pay).
Age limit: The candidate’s age limit is 21 to 31 years as on 01-01-2011, reservation as per rules.
Educational qualification: Candidates possess a Bachelors Degree or its equivalent in Science or Engineering from a recognized university with at least having one of the subjects, Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/Science, Engineering (Agriculture/Chemical/Civil/Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology.
Application fee: Candidates applying online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 250/- for general candidates and Rs 63/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates for Himachal Pradesh by cash at any branch of Punjab National Bank in the form of challan. For those who are applying offline the paid the fee in the shape of Bank draft in favour of Secretary HP Public Service Commission for 250/- for general candidates and Rs 63/- for SC/ST/OBC of HP, payable at Shimla.
Application Form: The candidates applying offline may obtain OMR application forms Priced Rs.50/- from the Reception Counter of H.P. Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar Shimla 171002. On any working day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
How to apply: The eligible and qualified candidates have to apply either online or offline.
Online Application Form: Candidates have to apply through online from www.hp.gov.in/hppsc from 03-07-2011 till 11.59 pm. Candidates follow the instructions at the time of online apply.
Offline Application Form: Candidates can also apply through offline mode also using the OMR Computerized application Form, which will be available on payment at the reception counter of HPPSC, Nigam Vihar, Shimla-171002, while filling up the application form please refer instructions given in HPPSC website. Candidates should also write the name of the examination, Range Forest Officer Examination (RFO), 2011 top of the envelop, to the following address by post/speed post, courier or by hand, on or before 03-07-2011, (For remote areas 18-07-2011), Controller of Examinations, Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla-171002.
