Eligibility Criteria 

Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for candidates applying for the AIIMS Raebareli Senior Resident position is 45 years.

Age Relaxation Details:

  1. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category.
  2. Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable for candidates belonging to the OBC category.
  3. For Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates:
    • General category candidates can receive a maximum age relaxation of ten (10) years.
    • OBC category candidates can receive a maximum age relaxation of thirteen (13) years.
    • SC/ST category candidates can receive a maximum age relaxation of fifteen (15) years.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications to be eligible for the AIIMS Raebareli Senior Resident position:

  1. A medical qualification that is included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act.
  2. Candidates must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
  3. For Broad Specialty positions, candidates should possess a postgraduate degree such as MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty or its equivalent.
  4. For Super Specialty positions, candidates should have an MD/MS/DNB in the related broad specialty or DM/M.Ch/DNB in the concerned super specialty as the essential qualification.

Selection process

  1. Written Examination (MCQ based): This component carries 80% weightage in the selection process. Candidates will participate in a written examination that consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Their performance in this examination will be a major factor in determining their selection.
  2. Departmental Assessment: This component carries 20% weightage in the selection process. After the written examination, candidates may undergo a departmental assessment. This assessment may involve various aspects such as interviews, practical demonstrations, or other department-specific evaluations.

The final selection of Senior Residents will be based on the combined performance in both the written examination and the departmental assessment, with 80% of the weightage assigned to the written examination and 20% assigned to the departmental assessment. Candidates should prepare accordingly and perform well in both components to maximize their chances of selection.
